Colorfully Painted Wall Clock

Although timeliness may not be a strong suit for Morena of Morena’s Corner, she ironically has a thing for clocks. She writes, “Maybe I subconsciously think that if I have enough clocks around I’ll be on time for a change. Ha!” When Morena came across an eclectic clock with a fun mix of colors and funky numbers, she knew she could create her own. With the help of some stencils and new paint products from DecoArt, Morena now has a new clock with even more color and pizzazz than her inspiration.

Turn a Vase into a Coastal Glass Lamp

Lisa from Salt March Cottage has been working to rebuild and refurnish her beach cottage which was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. Understandable, controlling costs is a must. Lisa fell hard for a demijohn jug lamp with burlap shade, but the $269 stood in the way of Lisa and her dream lamp. Lisa knew that didn’t mean she couldn’t make a similar coastal style lamp and did just that with a vase from Home Goods and some items from the hardware store. Thanks to Lisa’s resourceful knock-off she saved a whopping $221!

Mable from Tiny Dazzles Blog recently celebrated her daughter’s third birthday and knew the perfect gift for her sweet girl – a doll crib! She found plans for a DIY crib from Ana White and tweaked them a bit to include a changing table and storage shelves. Mable was able to make her crib for only $6 since she already had most of the supplies on hand. That’s $6 well spent since Mable gets to enjoy the sight of her daughter putting her dolls to bed each night. Precious!
