When Kim from Tiaras and Bowties – Think Smink saw the locomotive mural decal featured in a Pottery Barn Kids catalog, she immediately thought of her parents and their love of rustic items. She knew she could recreate this mural onto canvas as a gift for them for Christmas. Kim painted the mural (and did an pretty awesome job I might add) for under $5, coming in way under the $99 price tag from PB.
Kim was inspired by the retired train mural decal featured in the Halloween 2011 Pottery Barn Kids catalog.

Our 5 year old adores trains but who could afford that mural they sell and the fact that he may outgrow the phase, well, im just not willing to invest in that kind of item. Thanks.
