Cane Drum Shade

8:00 PM By Beckie 1 Comment

Mary from At Home on the Bay was inspired to create her own cane lampshades by wrapping pre-woven caning around drum shades and finishing the edges with bias tape.

Mary left one of her shades the natural cane color but darkened another with stain for a pendant light.

This just shows the possibilities when working with cane.

Mary made her shades for only $22 a piece, while her inspiration cost a killer $275!

Mary was inspired by the Natural Cane Lampshade from Horchow.
