Knock Off Decor reader Jamie Hammond sent in this picture of some handmade art she made. Jamie writes, “I loved this artwork (Zgallerie Bluesicles) and decided to attempt something similar. I used a large canvas that I got for half off at Michaels. Then I took regular acrylic paint in multiple colors and laid the canvas down and squirted
stripes directly from the bottle onto the canvas. Then I took a foam brush and spread
it a little more into the stripes. Finally, I took a piece of poster board and stuck it to the front of the wet paint, pulling it off and repeating a few times to give it a textured look. I LOVE the final product!”
Jamie’s original inspiration came from a 72” x 36” eclectic Bluecicles Giclee from Z Gallerie which retails for $500.

I think this would look even better if you took a high gloss coat over it a few times to make it shiny like theirs.
