I have said a time or two that I am a sucker for baskets and love the look of industrial metal ones.
Unfortunately, they are not always budget-friendly. Kim of The Kim Six Fix shares a project for transforming dollar store plastic bins into Ballard look-a-likes.
This is about as simple as it gets, and Kim says that you would never guess they were plastic unless you look very closely.
Of course, it’s the faux vintage locker tags that Kim also made that take these baskets over the edge of awesomeness!
Metal baskets are generally not very kid-friendly, so I especially love this idea for a kid space where you want an industrial feel without all the scratching and snagging of metal.
