Ribbon Heart Valentine Tea Towel

Bonnie of Uncommon Designs loves to browse catalogs, not so much to see what she can buy but what she cake make! When she stumbled on a simple and sweet Valentine tea towel from Anthropologie, Bonnie knew she already had everything she needed to recreate it. Bonnie used Heat n’ Bond to make her own adorable ribbon heart applique and then added the extra stitching detail at the bottom of the towel with red and white baker’s twine. Bonnie says, “It really does not take much to make you home festive for special occasions, and this sweet kitchen towel will be the perfect little accent in our home!”

No-Sew Ribbon Heart Dishtowel

Katie at View From the Fridge shares a super quick, no-sew project that uses a lot of items most crafters already have … a white dishtowel and ribbon scraps. Katie simply cut and arranged her ribbon and ric-rac on the dish towel to form a heart and then adhered it with fusible web. This is the perfect Valentine’s Day craft to add a little color to your kitchen the cheap and easy way!

Gold Heart Mugs

In preparation for the day of love, Lidy from Hello Lidy had a little fun recreating some heart mugs she spied at West Elm that were “modern, fun and playful.” Following in line with the year’s metallic trend, Lidy used a gold leaf pen to add her hearts to plain white mugs for a quick transformation. This is a project anyone can tackle, and Lidy points out that imperfection is just part of the beauty.
