It’s a grocery store… No, wait, it’s a lemonade stand… How about a post office? This play stand made by Jaime from That’s My Letter is so versatile I cannot possibly list all its uses. Jaime built the stand using plans from Ana White and then created interchangeable buntings and signs so the stand can quickly and easily change functions. Katie from Addicted to DIY had been wanting a console table to fill a “dull, empty space” by her front door, but her husband wasn’t game on spending a $1,000 for one. Katie came up with the brilliant plan that they save their hard earned cash and build a table instead of buy one. With the help of Ana White, the couple completed their very first build together and have a lovely new console table to show for it!
With a generously-sized closet and no need for a dresser, Hillary from The Friendly Home had plenty of space for furniture in her daughter’s bedroom. She already had a set of bookcases. Unfortunately, they happened to be “cheap, ugly, and “not very sturdy” bookcases that Hillary was more than eager to replace. She said goodbye to the laminate shelving and built a pair of solid wood cubby shelves following plans from Ana White. Hillary loves how the cube design keeps book standing up and allows for hidden storage so everything looks neat and tidy.
Mable from Tiny Dazzles Blog recently celebrated her daughter’s third birthday and knew the perfect gift for her sweet girl – a doll crib! She found plans for a DIY crib from Ana White and tweaked them a bit to include a changing table and storage shelves. Mable was able to make her crib for only $6 since she already had most of the supplies on hand. That’s $6 well spent since Mable gets to enjoy the sight of her daughter putting her dolls to bed each night. Precious!
With plans from Ana White in hand, Jaime from That’s My Letter built this gorgeous and enormous triple pedestal dining table for a friend’s cottage. As Jaime points out, the table design features several beautiful details including an inset tabletop edge, curved arches on the pedestals, and a long stretcher support across the middle. Pretty much it’s the Miss America of dining tables {Giggle}!
