Marquee Star

Amanda from Burlap and Denim loves the effect of lighting in design. Throw in a vintage-industrial vibe, and the girl is head over heals! That’s what propelled Amanda to create her own marquee star using rather unusual materials. Amanda’s star is not only incredibly less expensive than those offered at some of our favorite designer retailers but also quite a bit bigger!

Silver Starburst Mirror

I am thrilled to have Mrs. Polly Rogers back with another of her fabulous and frugal creations, and let me say that her starburst mirror is a true lesson in thriftiness! The secret ingredient here is bendy straws that Polly painted silver and attached to an inexpensive round mirror. Polly says, “This project is fast, cheap, and easy but DRAMATIC and stands up to the closest scrutiny.”

Metallic New Year’s Plate

At the beginning of each new year, Bethany from Pitter and Glink is always filled with hope for good things to come. Bethany used a dollar store plate and some paint pens to recreate the festive plate in less than ten minutes!
