However, after taking a little breather from the project, Amanda came back with a clear head and completed her playful catchall for only a fourth of the designer price. Like Amanda says, the fun of DIY is being able to customize the project to your liking, and I love how she put her own spin on it with the gold and turquoise color scheme!
Anthropologie sells the daintiest little aprons, and Katie at View From the Fridge was able to capture all the frills and femininity in this knock-off she created. Katie simplified the process by starting with a cheapo white apron from Joann’s. From there she embellished with a lovely gathered skirt, plenty of ruffles, and a pretty flower clip. While an apron isn’t technically décor, hang this baby on a fun hook in your kitchen, and it’ll certainly add some interest to your walls!
