Dena from Hearts and Sharts is always getting compliments on her plate wall, which is made up of her own unique creations – hand-me-down and Goodwill plates given new life with Dena’s favorite quotes, movie scenes, and designs. Dena shares her technique for transferring text and images to plates, so you too can create one-of kind decorative plates for your wall.

After spending months slowly unpacking boxes in her new home, Sarah from Oh Sarah O! knew it was time to address the naked walls. She fell in love with abstract black and white paintings from West Elm, but by the time Sarah had the cash to purchase them, most of the designs were sold out. Sarah decided to grab a canvas and some paintbrushes from her stash and create her own DIY version of the abstract artwork. It’s amazing how similar it looks to the original!

A few days ago I mentioned the State Pride Tour I hosted over at Infarrantly Creative and shared a Pottery Barn-inspired map triptych. Cheryl from Tidy Mom also participated in the fun, representing her home state of Missouri with a framed vintage state map. Cheryl cut her map into four pieces and then placed each one into frames she glammed up with some Rub N Buff. I love the combination of the sophisticated antique map and glitzy gold frames!
