Sonny from 155 Dream Lane had to look twice when she came across a framed farm log from Williams-Sonoma that cost over $1,000. The kicker is that it’s just a print! Craziness. Instead of dropping a mortgage payment, Sonny grabbed a frame from her yard sale stash and some script wrapping paper she had and made a similar piece of artwork. Susan from Homeroad created her own wall organization system from weathered driftwood and old metal calendars. One calendar became a chalkboard and the other a chicken wire clipboard. I love the rustic look Susan achieved with her repurposed materials, and the wire hooks that link them together are too cute!

It goes without saying that a piece like this is pricey, so what a blessing to be able to build it yourself and save some serious cash. I love that there is hidden storage to hide away extra napkins, table runners, and the like and then the open hutch for displaying all your pretties.
Colleen from Mural Maker and More saw a darling oak leaf pillow floating around Pinterest and pinned it with the intent of hand painting it one day. Instead, she found a felt leaf from the dollar store that was perfect for creating a reverse stencil leaf print on some burlap.
