Pottery Barn carried some wonderful vintage clock plates during the holiday season of 2009.  Unfortunately for Susan from Between Naps on the Porch they sold out quickly and never came back.  “So, what do you do when you’re craving Pottery Barn Clock Plates and there are none to be had?” Susan asks. I think we all know the answer to that {wink}! Susan happened upon an ironing board cover with various clock faces and used the fabric to transform a set of clear plates into her own PB replicas. Following Susan’s steps you could use any fabric that fits your fancy to give some clear plates a whole new look!

Beth from B & B Build A Life has a love for chevron and wanted to bring life to her drab cubicle with the bold pattern. She didn’t want to spend much and was able to create a painted chevron frame for only about $5. Beth says, “It was so easy, I actually did it while watching TV!”

I felt a little giddy last night when I walked outside and felt a definite chill in the air, a sure sign that fall is upon us. Laura from Inspiration for Moms loves decorating for fall and has already added a natural touch to her pumpkins with some grapevine. I love how you can get so many different looks with the twine, especially the little curlicues {smile}.

Eye chart art has become crazy popular, and I am just loving this tray made by Val from Home Made Modern. You’ll be happy to know that the only tool you need to make your own is a pencil! Val shares a great technique for transferring images with just a pencil, and, as you can see from her tray, it works like a charm!

Liz from Hoosier Homemade had been dreaming and waiting for a rustic PB-style office desk for three long years. That dream finally came to fruition when she spotted some barn doors with a free sign sitting on the side of the road. Liz’s husband built custom cabinets and then cut the barn doors to fit on top. Here’s from Liz: “Even though we dreamed, planned and built the desk ourselves, I never imagined how awesome it would be… My days in my office, just got a little longer!”
