Tree Trunk Candles

Melissa of The Happier Homemaker loves all the tree bark candles she’s been seeing around. When her husband cut down a tree in their backyard, she knew it was the perfect opportunity for a little DIY fun! Melissa cut a small trunk into the desired sizes and then drilled holes to insert votives. She says, “This was a fast, no cost project and made a great centerpiece!”

Spray Painted Pendant Light

Barn lights can be uber expensive, but Mary from At Home on the Bay found a way to turn an inexpensive IKEA pendant into a barn light look-a-like for her kitchen. It really was as simple as spray painting the pendant and popping in an Edison bulb for a more authentic look. I am currently redecorating my living room with aqua and yellow and totally dig the entire look Mary has going here!
