Square Coffee Table with Turned Legs

Ashley from Shanty 2 Chic fell hard for a table from Pottery Barn with a planked wood top, large bottom shelf, and thick turned legs and had to have something like it. She enlisted the help of Ana White to draw up the plans and got to building! A wood company kindly created special legs just for Ashley’s table, and the exciting part is we can all order them. Like Ashley says, they totally make the table!

Paint Your Own Black and White Abstract Wall Art

After spending months slowly unpacking boxes in her new home, Sarah from Oh Sarah O! knew it was time to address the naked walls. She fell in love with abstract black and white paintings from West Elm, but by the time Sarah had the cash to purchase them, most of the designs were sold out. Sarah decided to grab a canvas and some paintbrushes from her stash and create her own DIY version of the abstract artwork. It’s amazing how similar it looks to the original!

Easy Pom-Pom Tassel Pillow

Melissa from The Inspired Room isn’t ashamed to admit that she’s got a major crush on all things Anthropologie! When she saw a fun pom-pom pillow there, Melissa knew she wanted one AND that she could make it for less. Melissa just used a pillow cover she already had and stitched on some pom-pom trim. Super simple and super cute!

Decorative Gold Spheres from Clay

Decorative spheres are a fun way to add interest to a bookshelf or tabletop. Shelley from Crazy Wonderful saw some from West Elm that she thought were pretty stinkin’ cool – just not at $70 for a pair! Shelley instead sculpted her own from clay and finished them in gold  just like her inspiration. I love how metallic spray paint can give an inexpensive material like clay such a beautiful, lustrous finish. You’d never know they aren’t real metal!

Solid Wood Pyramid Block Set

Jaime from That’s My Letter teamed up with Ana White to build a 100-piece solid wood block set inspired by Land of Nod. Now I know blocks aren’t technically décor, but… with the multitude of colors and pyramid design, I dare say these blocks would make an artistic statement in any play space or bedroom! Jaime even colored the blocks with food coloring, so they are safe for little ones to chew on build with. That Jaime always thinks of everything!
