As soon as Amanda from Mommy is Coocoo had a daughter she knew she wanted her to have a dollhouse. She loved the versatility of a bookshelf/dollhouse since her daughter may not want to play with dolls forever but would, of course, always have toys and books in need of storage. Amanda was able to create her own from a secondhand wooden dollhouse in need of a little love. With a fresh coat of paint, it’s the perfect little home for her daughter’s dolls or books and other toys!

Angela from blue i style has long been obsessed with the Reclaimed License Plate Map from Uncommon Goods. When she decided to go with a vintage, handmade look for her son’s room, the map was a shoo-in. However, at almost $4,000, Angela knew it would never be in her budget and pulled together a plan to get the same look with a much- less-expensive license plate map she found printed on heavy gauge steel and an old pallet. She says, “The final product, while not made from real license plates, has a very similar feel at a much better price. The final price tag for my knock off version was only $140!”

The last two days the focus has been on a quote “Believe there is good in the world,” but a major emphasis on “be the good.”  Well today I am giving you a chance to Be the Good in this world with an awesome initiative that our family is embracing for this Easter holiday.  Let me tell you about this passion project!

Amy from Joyful Daisy has seen and made many different magnet boards but simply couldn’t wait to make another when she saw the round ones featured at The Land of Nod. Not only was Amy able to customize her magnet board with pretty fabric, ribbon, and a monogram but she saved a whopping 80% since she only had to purchase the pizza pan and the grosgrain ribbon. Even if you had to buy a small piece of fabric, this is a project that definitely wouldn’t break the bank!

I love me some chevron, so it’s no wonder the design of this table built by Paula at Sweet Pea and her hubby caught my eye. The slanted shelves mimic the look of chevron and also keep books and magazines nice and tidy. You can’t beat stylish AND functional! Would you believe it only cost the couple $30 to build?
