These adorable “Give Thanks” plates from Dannyelle at Life Is A Party would make the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving table this year! They are super easy to make and require only a glass paint marker and cheap plates. I know you are thinking that you’d totally mess up trying to write on a plate, but with the glass paint marker you can easily wash off all those “oops” moments.
Here’s a really cute Thanksgiving idea from Ashley at Simply Designing. With just a bit of felt and a little hand-stitching, she made these little pilgrim boats filled with candy. Wouldn’t these make darling place holders at the “kid’s table?” You could also fill them with small gourds or pinecones if the candy might prevent your little ones from “gobbling” up their turkey.
Michelle from Iron & Twine calls herself a “sucker for festive table linens” and found a way to make an inexpensive set of fall napkins that feature a teepee motif. All Michelle had to do was play around with her design until she found one she liked and then trace it onto her napkins with a fabric marker. She says, “This DIY is so easy ~ if you can draw a triangle, you can do this project!”
Like Jami from An Oregon Cottage, maybe you’ve been on the prowl for Thanksgiving decorations but are coming up empty handed. Look no further than your local thrift store! Jami scored a couple of brightly colored ceramic turkeys for a dollar each and got the exact look she was after with some white paint and a little sanding.
Liz of Infuse with Liz was inspired to create a pretty Indian corn candle centerpiece like one she spied in Pottery Barn’s catalog. Attaching the corn to the glass bowl proved a little troublesome, but in the end Liz pulled it all together… literally… with some twine {wink}. You can leave your corn au natural like Liz did or glam it up with gold paint like PB’s version.
