Heather from Shades of Tangerine was inspired to create her own snuggly throw with a vintage flair using materials from the thrift store.
That’s right, why spend money on a craft and sewing project at a retail store. You can find everything you need from someone else’s throw-away pile. Love it!
After collecting a stash of doilies and lace, Heather set to the task of arranging and hand sewing them to her secondhand blanket.
I love a good upcycle project and think this a great way to revive a worn out blanket!
Heather was inspired by the Heirloom Throw from Anthropologie.
What better way to be encouraged to save some money with a crochet project, and then turn around and share how to make a doily blanket with the world.
