When Lauren from Bless’er House wanted to give her dated dining chairs a high-end look, she came up with with genius solution — and with no sewing required!
She was inspired by some gorgeous $200 Pottery Barn slipcovered chairs but didn’t love the price tag.

The inspirational and drool-worth dining chair from Pottery Barn
So, Lauren found simple parsons chairs at a thrift store and transformed them with canvas painter’s drop cloth and a little creativity.
Instead of sewing, she used fabric tape, safety pins, and an iron to create crisp, tailored edges that look super professional.
I love that she even added pretty little ties on the back for that perfect custom touch.
This project is renter-friendly, budget-friendly, and totally doable even if you don’t sew a stitch.
Lauren also shares great tips on washing and softening canvas drop cloth fabric before using it so it drapes beautifully.
This is such a smart trick if you want to update dining chairs without committing to permanent upholstery changes.
