Kids Rotating Gallery Wall with Chalkboard “Frames”

Melissa of Two It Yourself created her own rendition of Pottery Barn Kids’ chalkboard frames by utilizing the matting from old frames she had. Melissa turned the mats into a rotating gallery wall for her kids’ creations with chalkboard paint, mini clothespins, and baker’s twine. The matting forms a little frame around the artwork and, thanks to the chalkboard paint, can be labeled with a cute caption!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Art

When Mandy from We Three Mothers wanted The Very Hungry Caterpillar artwork for her son’s bedroom but couldn’t afford the price tag, she teamed up with her son to DIY for less. They simply purchased a canvas and some tissue paper and then spent the morning cutting and gluing together. Kids are generally pretty oblivious to wall décor, but you know Mandy’s son will always love this special art he made with his mommy!

Jennifer from Blissfully Ever After decided to give an outdated picture frame from a swap meet some love and turn it into a piece of vintage, industrial alphabet art for her son’s playroom. With some leftover paint and her own custom printable, Jennifer pulled it off for a whopping $1.79. That’s quite the saving compared to her $329 inspiration! Wowzers!

Heart Tree Wall Art

I love all the bright colors and modern style of this piece and think it will be a great fit for the nursery. I definitely couldn’t have pulled it off without my Silhouette Cameo! Maybe it’s just me, but I think Land of Nod’s Love Tree and my Heart Tree may have been twins separated at birth {wink}.
