When planning her baby girl’s nursery, Machelle of A Joyful Riot found a tufted crib at Restoration Hardware and knew it was her dream crib.
However, at $1,200, she also knew it wasn’t happening and started planning a way to DIY.
Machelle shopped around for a crib with a similarly curved headboard and footboard and then created the tufted panels with pegboard, foam, and batting.
She says, “This project has quite a few steps, I won’t lie.
But don’t be intimidated!! It’s not hard and I cover everything from exactly how to get this gorgeous diamond tufting to getting the shape and putting it altogether!”
Machelle was inspired by the Colette Tufted Crib from RH Baby & Child.
