Leslie from Paper Daisy Designs recently rescued a mid-century modern desk from the trash and revived it for her daughter’s bedroom. Of course, a new cool desk needs an equally hip chair! Leslie transformed the run-of-the-mill desk chair that was already into the room into a “furlicious” chair with plenty of personality. How fun is this?!?

Cassie from Hi Sugarplum wanted to create a command center to help her son keep track of his increasingly busy schedule and social life. It wasn’t hard for Cassie to make a DIY version that came in far cheaper than PB Teen’s expensive tile board sets. Cassie says it was surprisingly simple to make and would also be great for a an entire family since the panels can easily be customized to fit your needs.

A few years ago, Maryann from Domestically Speaking took an inexpensive IKEA cabinet and turned it into a beautiful piece for her daughter’s room. I actually had the very same inexpensive IKEA cabinet she transformed and I am seriously blown away. Sadly, my cabinet did not survive four moves and is now long gone, but seeing Maryann’s awesome makeover makes me wish I could get it back!

With a new baby on the way, Camille from My Mommy Style has been busy planning her daughter’s big girl room. She was inspired to create her own colorful, beach house style wall art using retro wall paneling and paint. Thanks to the carefree style of the art and forgiving surface of the paneling, Camille was able to freehand the design for a pretty convincing knockoff.
