Gemstone Sharpie Wall Art

Lidy from Hello Lidy was inspired to create gem wall art for a corner of her room after spying some striking mirrors from West Elm. Lidy easily mimicked the look of the precious stones with a piece of foam board and a Sharpie. Here’s what Lidy says about her new DIY artwork: “I think it’s super fun and really modernizes that corner of the room. It’s really easy to remove from the wall and then reapply somewhere else if I get too tired of it! Thanks to West Elm, I have some lovely new wall art to look at!”

Wood Slice Coasters with Sayings

A few weeks ago Shauna from Satori Design for Living was looking at West Elm’s new market and came across some adorable wooden drink coasters. They reminded Shauna of wood slice ornaments she had previously made, and she just so happened to have some wood pieces leftover. Sounds like the perfect recipe for a DIY! Not only did Shauna need a set of coasters for her basement family room, but she also whipped some up to give away as gifts.

Here’s what Melissa has to say about her little burlap tree: “This project was simple and it didn’t cost me a dime because I had everything on hand.  Even if you don’t have burlap in your stash at home, you can still get by making this project for less than $5…”
