Felt Origami Throw Pillow

Tiffany at The Little Waffleflower shares my love for a pretty pillow, and this felt origami throw pillow ranks up there as one of her favorite DIYs. I sure can see why. It looks identical to her West Elm inspiration! I love that this pillow goes with absolutely anything yet isn’t plain or boring. The folded felt creates tons of texture and interest.

Colorful Ruffled Circles Pillow Cover

Jessica from Sew Homegrown created a DIY version of a ruffled circles pillow she spied at West Elm. She says she just had to spice it up with more color though and chose scraps from her favorite fabric designer Anna Maria Horner. There is so much I love about this pillow from the vibrant colors to the ruffled and slightly disheveled look of the circles. This is a great scrap buster project that you could easily customize to match your décor.

Paint Your Own Black and White Abstract Wall Art

After spending months slowly unpacking boxes in her new home, Sarah from Oh Sarah O! knew it was time to address the naked walls. She fell in love with abstract black and white paintings from West Elm, but by the time Sarah had the cash to purchase them, most of the designs were sold out. Sarah decided to grab a canvas and some paintbrushes from her stash and create her own DIY version of the abstract artwork. It’s amazing how similar it looks to the original!

Decorative Gold Spheres from Clay

Decorative spheres are a fun way to add interest to a bookshelf or tabletop. Shelley from Crazy Wonderful saw some from West Elm that she thought were pretty stinkin’ cool – just not at $70 for a pair! Shelley instead sculpted her own from clay and finished them in gold  just like her inspiration. I love how metallic spray paint can give an inexpensive material like clay such a beautiful, lustrous finish. You’d never know they aren’t real metal!

5-Minute Loopy Burlap Christmas Tree

I have seen a few tutorials for making burlap Christmas trees, but I really love the results Candace from Vintage News Junkie got with her loopy burlap tree. This is one of those projects you can likely whip up without a trip to the store, so it’s a perfect last-minute addition to your mantle or tablescape. All you need is paper for a cone, burlap, and glue. If you’ve got a few minutes, you can make this tree!
