Brynne of The Gathered Home loved the gold metallic pillow covers from West Elm and started wondering if it was possible to DIY pillows that had the same metallic luster. The idea of using gold leaf on fabric came to Brynne, and since she already had the supplies on hand, there was nothing to lose! Brynne says, “It turns out you CAN gold leaf fabric, which opens up a world of possibilities – not the least of which is having my own version of my favorite West Elm pillows on my sofa!”
