Weathered finish

When it came time for Nina from Everyday Enchanting to redo her powder room, Pottery Barn totally made her swoon with its Newport Sink Console. However, that pretty little console cost double the budget for the WHOLE renovation! Thankfully, Nina had the experience and confidence to tackle a DIY after building her own kitchen island. She says, “I combined and modified the plans from both Ana White and DIY Diva, and off we went! The beauty of building it ourselves was that I could choose a different stain than the original- so I gave it a weathered finish that we love!”

Katie from Upcycled Treasures had a DIY dining table on her to-do list for months. After coming across the West Elm Wooden Truss dining table {and the projects plans via Design Confidential} Katie was instantly inspired. She says, “I always enjoy working in the garage with my husband, and we now have a beautiful dining table that only cost us $75!”

When it came time to convert her son’s nursery to a “big boy” room, Meesh from imeeshu opted for a queen bed so there’d be plenty of room for story time cuddles. She found a glossy white bed on Craigslist and used her own technique for recreating the beautiful weathered finish that’s signature of Restoration Hardware’s pieces. The look is perfect for a little boy’s room, and this whole space basically knocks my socks off. Amazing job, Meesh!
