Embroidered Christmas Pillow from Old Sweaters

Would you believe Cindy at Custom Comforts created this lovely embroidered Christmas pillow using items she scrounged up around the house? Cindy sewed up a pillow cover from one of my favorite materials, drop cloth, and created the holly leaves and pine cones from secondhand Goodwill sweaters. The icing on the cake is all the beautiful embroidery that Cindy did by hand! Are you as impressed as I am?!?

Inventor’s Bell Jar Lamp

I can’t help but get excited when I come across a knock-off that’s totally unique and fun, and this lamp from Jessica at Mad In Crafts is all that and more! Jessica designed her “steampunk-style, industrial accent lamp” using a secondhand bell jar from Goodwill and metal odds and ends from her local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. She spent  only $20 on materials, which is a far cry from the $1298 price tag of her inspiration!

Paper Mache Unicorn Head Wall Décor

I am just loving this paper mache unicorn head that Ashley from Lil Blue Boo created for her little one’s playroom. It is unique and fun and really makes a statement! Ashley walks you through the entire process, showing you how she formed the head from newspaper, paper towels, and book pages. I love the look of the black and white text with the hot pink plaque. Didn’t Ashley do an amazing job?!?

DIY Beverage Cart for the Hostess

What does every hostess need to have in her entertaining arsenal? A beverage cart of course! Ashley from Shanty 2 Chic made one just in time for her holiday entertaining for only $150, and that includes the hardware. I love Ashley’s suggestion of stocking this baby with coffee and cocoa for a festive holiday soiree. How cute!
