Easter Bunny Bunting in 20 Minutes

easter-bunny-garland.png

Stacy from She’s {kinda} Crafty shows how a little resourcefulness can go a long way! In twenty minutes flat she pulled together materials from around the house to create this cutie patootie Easter garland. Fabric, paper, ribbon, twine, pom-poms, cotton balls…. there are so many different materials that you could use to make a similar bunting. Like Stacy says, “So don’t just sit there. HOP TO IT!!”

DIY Gold-Tipped Paper Feathers

diy-gold-tipped-feathers.jpg

Cheryl from Snaps of Ginger is the proud new owner of a Silhouette Cameo, and it sure didn’t take her long to realize what a wonder this machine is! One of her recent projects was creating these beautiful gold-tipped feathers. At first look, you’d never guess they are just plain old paper! With the metallic gold detailing Cheryl added with paint, they look totally glam.

An Old Tray Gets a New Look

number-tray.jpg

DIYers have had a heyday replicating Pottery Barn’s numbers canvas. The design has been featured on desktops, drawer fronts, and even chair cushions. Like so many others, Taryn from Design, Dining + Diapers has long loved the design and used it to give an old tray she’s had since her college days a new look.Taryn says, “See what a little paint and sisal rope can do? Now I’m really glad I managed to keep this tray around for so long!”

Vintage Sign with a Personal Touch

handpainted-sign.jpg

Bliss of Bliss Ranch was inspired by a vintage drug store sign to make a sign with similar styling for her bathroom. Bliss says she “just couldn’t advertise ice cream so close to [her]bathroom scale” {giggle}, so she modified the wording a bit. What’s really cool is that Bliss actually owns a vintage building that was formerly Sy’s Barber Shop, which is the name she used for her sign. I always love how DIY allows for such  personalizations!

No-Sew Antler Pillow

West-Elm-Knockoff-Antler-Pillow-ItsOverflowing

Aimee from It’s Overflowing shows it is possible to create a knock-off pillow without a needle and thread. Aimee let her Silhouette Cameo do almost all the work for this project! All she had to do was iron the perfectly cut deer head onto a ready-made pillow she snagged on clearance at Target. As Aimee asks, “how can something that simple be that cute!?!”

Heart Tree Wall Art

heart_tree_art

On Infarrantly Creative I recently shared this heart tree wall art that I created as a baby shower gift for a friend. I love all the bright colors and modern style of this piece and think it will be a great fit for the nursery. I definitely couldn’t have pulled it off without my Silhouette Cameo! Maybe it’s just me, but I think Land of Nod’s Love Tree and my Heart Tree may have been twins separated at birth {wink}.

Latitude and Longitude Signs

Jeannine from The Concrete Cottage  loved L.L. Bean’s Latitude & Longitude signs and wanted to use several of them to line a tall wall in her great room. She had wonderful ideas of showcasing places her family had lived and vacationed. However, with a price tag of $34.95 a piece, there was no way Jeannine [...Read More]

Vintage Football Scoreboard Sign

As I share one of my latest projects from Infarrantly Creative, I realize that I have had some serious knock-off mania going on over there! This is another addition to the sports-themed big boy room I helped design for my 3-year-old nephew. Being a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan, my brother-in-law wanted to have a vintage-style [...Read More]
