Whitney from Shanty 2 Chic has dreamed of building her own dining room table for her family of seven. With the help of Ana White, that dream came true, and Whitney now has a “BEAUTIFUL and beefy DIY farmhouse table” that she can proudly say SHE built. And, for only $100 in wood no less! With the holidays coming up in the next couple of months, this is the perfect table for serving all your guests.

Whitney from Shanty 2 Chic recently built a solid truss dining table out of 4x4s and had plans for benches in the works. Well, Whitney delivered with two beautiful benches that are every bit as “big and beefy” as their table counterpart. You know Ana White was in the mix, helping design the benches and providing clear plans so you can build them too – for only $40! This is the perfect seating solution for your big holiday get-togethers!
When the movers broke her dining room table, Jen from House of Wood’s first thought was to build a new one. She saw a gorgeous X-based table from ZGallerie and hit up her friend Ana White to draw up the plans. Then with a little more help from Ana and the friendly folks at Minwax, Jen gave her freshly built table a “rustic yet refined” Restoration Hardware-inspired finish. Are you drooling yet? Oh, and I think I forgot to mention the lumber was only $85. Just in case you weren’t already sold {Wink}.

Whitney from Shanty 2 Chic also teamed up with the lovely Ana White to add storage behind her sofa with a PB-inspired console table. Whitney’s new console has the look of an old work bench with a thick, sturdy frame, casters, and distressed finish. Here’s what Whitney has to say about her build: “I love the storage it gives me as well as it’s open feel in the space. Oh… And did I mention $80 to build? Love it even more!”
