Easy as 1, 2, 3 Numbers Floor Pouf

Charlotte from Ciburbanity recently participated in a contest where she was challenged to create a sewing project using fabric from Waverly. Since she doesn’t consider herself a skilled seamstress, Charlotte knew a copycat project was the way to go and found an adorable numeric pouf for inspiration. She combined her lovely blue floral fabric with canvas drop cloth to put a fun twist on Land of Nod’s comfy math cushion.

Convert a Wingback Chair to a Rocking Chair

With a baby on the way, the last thing Kenz from Interiors By Kenz wants to do is frivolously spend money. That’s why she found a way around spending a fortune on the wingback rocking chair she wanted for the nursery by instead looking for the perfect chair to convert. The answer came in the IKEA Strandmon wingback chair which Kenz combined with some unfinished runners she found online to create the ultimate rocking experience!

DIY Dresser with Eclectic Stained Finish

I had so much fun seeing the Shanty Sisters last week at Haven, and, let me tell you, these girls have it all! They are as sweet as can be, fun, gorgeous, and crazy talented. Just check out this dresser that Ashley from Shanty 2 Chic built for her BFF’s baby nursery following plans from Ana White. This is a dresser that will definitely grow with the little fellow until he’s a teenager. He could even tote it off to college with him, and it would still be cool!

Geometric Rectangles Daybed

Erin from One Project at a Time couldn’t help but do “a little happy dance” when she found plans for a geometric daybed over at Ana White. It was just the bed she had been wanting for her baby’s nursery, and Erin was more than thrilled to save some cash through DIY. She pretty much sums it up when she says, “The best thing about DIY is with a little courage and practice you can have West Elm taste on a Kmart budget.”

Crib Skirt with Trim

Kristin of The Simple Things tends to have high end tastes, so it was no surprise that the only bedding she loved for her baby girl on-the-way was crazy expensive. “So, what does any good DIY-lovin’ gal do?” Kristin asks. Why, gather up her fabric and make one herself of course! Kristin honestly makes it look as easy as pie… all the way from the pretty pink trim to the “peek-a-book” grey that I adore!
