Hammered Metal Pendant Light for Less

While looking for a pendant light for her dining room, Mary from At Home on the Bay fell in love with Crate and Barrel’s Rodan Pendant. With the industrial yet sophisticated style, hammered antique pewter on the outside, and warm glow of gold on the inside, there was a lot to love! It was the price that had Mary looking for alternatives. She found the perfect starting point in IKEA’s Brasa light. With a few DIY touches, Mary got a look similar to the Crate & Barrel pendant for less!

Rustic Wood Wall Shelves with Metal Brackets

Carissa of Carissa Miss finished off her son’s nursery with a set of custom shelves above the changing table. Thanks to metal brackets from IKEA and a wood board from the home improvement store she was able to do it at a fraction of the cost of her West Elm inspiration. I love the combo of the rustic wood-stained shelf and glitzy metallic brackets and can’t think of a room (or even an entryway) where these wouldn’t add style and function!

From IKEA to West Elm Dresser Makeover

Corinna from For My Love Of needed a real wood dresser for CHEAP. She didn’t want to wait around for one to materialize on Craigslist, so instead Corinna took the two-and-a-half hour trek to the nearest IKEA for their Rast Dresser. She doctored it up by gluing wood pieces on the drawer fronts to look just like the dresser she’d been eyeing from West Elm. Talk about a simple update!
