Erica from Craftivity Designs has been working on her home office and found a cute and thrifty way to store small supplies by repurposing baby food jars. Erica made the jars pretty with paint and then added chalkboard labels for organization. And isn’t everything just better with a chalkboard finish {wink}? If you have a little girl, you undoubtedly know about all the cute hair doodads that can be made from fabric yo-yos. However, their usefulness is not limited to hair accessories. Amanda from Be Sweet beautified a bulletin board by turning her leftover yo-yos into pushpins. These are so stinkin’ cute and a great way to add style to something as useful as a memo board.
Marisa of Marisa Howard Design saw a sign from Pottery Barn that would make a cute addition to her office and realized it would be simple to replicate for very little cost. As opposed to just painting on her text, Marisa created dimension by cutting the frame and letters from foam. She points out that the sign looks great on shelf or the office door.
Susan from Homeroad created her own wall organization system from weathered driftwood and old metal calendars. One calendar became a chalkboard and the other a chicken wire clipboard. I love the rustic look Susan achieved with her repurposed materials, and the wire hooks that link them together are too cute!
Liz from Hoosier Homemade had been dreaming and waiting for a rustic PB-style office desk for three long years. That dream finally came to fruition when she spotted some barn doors with a free sign sitting on the side of the road. Liz’s husband built custom cabinets and then cut the barn doors to fit on top. Here’s from Liz: “Even though we dreamed, planned and built the desk ourselves, I never imagined how awesome it would be… My days in my office, just got a little longer!”
