Make Your Own Vintage Glass Candles

I just featured these DIY candles a couple months ago, but I think they would make lovely Mother’s Day gifts and wanted to give them another moment in the spotlight. Tiffany of A Splendid Occasion shares at Pizzazzerie how she turned vintage glasses into elegant and classy candle holders. This could be wonderful way to repurpose a few pieces of china that aren’t getting much use, or you can always find glasses a plenty at thrift stores and flea markets.

Monogram Mug Party Favors

For her daughter’s birthday party, Randi of Dukes & Duchesses didn’t let her guests leave empty-handed! Randi personalized mugs for each of her daughter’s friends using a glass paint marker and even filled them with coffee-flavored candies for a sweet treat. These may just be dollar store mugs, but the monogram really adds a special touch and would make your guests feel like you went the extra mile for them!

Glitter Letter Ornaments for Only $1

If you are looking for a cheap and easy last-minute Christmas gift, this is it! Ashley from Shanty 2 Chic bedazzled some chipboard letters and peace signs by simply coating them with glitter spray paint. I love that this gives a beautiful finish and is a less-mess option compared to regular glitter. Plus, think of all the friends and family you could make gifts for from one $3 alphabet set!

Wood Slice Coasters with Sayings

A few weeks ago Shauna from Satori Design for Living was looking at West Elm’s new market and came across some adorable wooden drink coasters. They reminded Shauna of wood slice ornaments she had previously made, and she just so happened to have some wood pieces leftover. Sounds like the perfect recipe for a DIY! Not only did Shauna need a set of coasters for her basement family room, but she also whipped some up to give away as gifts.

Colorblock Zipper Pouch with Monogram

Jaime from That’s My Letter has a slew of tutorials for adorable zipper pouches in different designs and sizes. I love this colorblock one with a handpainted monogram and heavy-duty metal zipper. It was inspired by a pricey clutch from Mark and Graham, but, like Jaime says, you might want to consider making your own for much less. While the pouch is a fabulous gift itself, you could even take it a step further by packing it with goodies!
