Woodcut Art for a Kid-Friendly Gallery Wall

Monica of East Coast Creative wanted to incorporate a piece of woodcut artwork into her new kid-friendly gallery wall. However, at a whopping $1,600.00, it simply wasn’t happening. Monica says, “At that price, it had better grow into a money tree!! I’ll take my $6.99 version thank you very much.” Even better, Monica’s $6.99 version only took five minutes and a quick trip to Staples to create.

Scrap Fabric Wall Art

Chelsea at Making Home Base loves a good knock off. When she ran across some fabric scrap wall art from West Elm, Chelsea knew it would the perfect excuse to get her DIY on. All Chelsea had to do was grab an IKEA frame and make a quick trip to her scrap bin. This scrap buster project was not only cheap and simple, but it allowed Chelsea to create artwork that coordinates perfectly with her master bedroom.

Vintage Easter Egg Prints

Emily from life{illustrated} is always looking for seasonal art inspiration, and the vintage egg prints from Ballard Designs caught her eye. For Emily, they were “just the right amount of ‘spring’ without looking too cheesy or juvenile.” So Emily headed to the Graphics Fairy and made her own art for FREE! It’s really as simple as printing it out and popping it in a frame!

Vintage Kitchen Utensil Art

When it came time to add the “decorative touches” to her recently updated kitchen, Emily from life{illustrated} set off online for some inspiration. She came upon some framed prints of vintage kitchen utensils she loved but certainly wasn’t dishing out $59 a piece for. Emily set out to knockoff a few of her favorites. Here’s what she has to say: “The process was really simple, and I love how my prints turned out. I saved about $230 by doing it myself!”

Gold Framed Sketches

Mekenzie’s love for Restoration Hardware runs pretty deep, and she’s had many successes at replicating the look without the cost. She shares her latest and greatest over at Interiors by Kenz – gold-framed wall art. What I love about Kenz’s knockoff is that she incorporated her own love for aviation by framing Leonardo Da Vinci sketches of flying machines, making her art stylish, meaningful, and cheap!
