Burlap Easter Napkin Rings

You may remember the bunny ear napkin rings shared here on KOD a couple of weeks ago. Well, Trish from Uncommon Designs also couldn’t pass up on the adding some major cuteness to her table this Easter with a set of the napkin rings. Trish’s technique results in a seamless finish with bunny ears that are super sturdy and will not fray. Plus, she says they are easy to make and may not cost you a penny if you’ve got the materials on hand like she did!

Chalkboard Placecards

I always love when I stumble upon something new, so imagine my excitement when I saw these chalkboard placecards Tricia from Simplicity in the South shared at Beneath My Heart. Tricia shares the secret of how she sanded contact paper to create the faux iron finish. These cards can be used as placecards for your Christmas table, labels for your buffet dishes, and tags for your gifts! That’s quite the impressive list for only thirty cents a pop!

When good friends of Jen from House of Wood bought their first home, she built them this workbench-style console following plans from Ana White. The couple plans to use the console as a coffee bar in their breakfast nook. Talk about one awesome housewarming gift! The Pottery Barn inspiration comes close to the $2000 mark, while Jen built hers for only $65!
