Playroom Toy Storage System–The Easy Way!

Brit from House Updated just finished converting a corner of her basement into a playroom. Storage was a must, so Brit combined a couple of different storage systems, including an Expedit-like unit she had on hand and a couple of kitchen cupboards from Ikea, to make her own Pottery Barn-esque storage system. She says, “This way I got all the extra storage and could customize it too! I fancied it up with painted fabric bins and colorful chalkboard labels and now the kids know exactly where to put their stuff. I love organization that looks good too!”

Cheap and Easy Colorful Felt Garland

Once a long time ago Roberta of Mommy Like Whoa loved to fill her house with all of Anthropologie’s pretties. Then she got married and had kids who broke many of those expensive pretties. Doh! Roberta says luckily she is a crafty gal and has been able to create her own pretties for way less cash – like this colorful felt garland she made for free using scraps of felt and embroidery thread. This is adorable for a party or just day-to-day hanging on a mantel or draped on a buffet.
