A Favorite Nightstand Gets a Girly Twist

After building her daughter a beautiful panel bed fit for a princess, Whitney from Shanty 2 Chic built two matching nightstands that are every bit as lovely! Whitney loved the design of a nightstand she’d previously built for her son’s room and teamed up with Ana White to put a “girly” spin on the plans. There is no question in my mind why Whitney adores this design so much – hidden storage! Plus, it sure sweetens the deal that they only cost $60 each to build!

“Rustic Yet Refined” Baby Changing Table

With a baby on the way, Ana White wanted the perfect changing table for her little guy – something “rustic yet refined” with storage aplenty. She found just what she was looking for in a buffet from West Elm… for $1,100! That was no problem for this handy lady. At 32 weeks preggo, Ana worked alongside her family to build the perfect changing table for their little bundle of joy… for less than $100! All it needs now is a topper, and it’ll be ready for changing time.

Doll Crib with Changing Table

Mable from Tiny Dazzles Blog recently celebrated her daughter’s third birthday and knew the perfect gift for her sweet girl – a doll crib! She found plans for a DIY crib from Ana White and tweaked them a bit to include a changing table and storage shelves. Mable was able to make her crib for only $6 since she already had most of the supplies on hand. That’s $6 well spent since Mable gets to enjoy the sight of her daughter putting her dolls to bed each night. Precious!

Antique Factory Cart Table

Shawna from Dakota Creek Chic found an antique factory cart at a local antique store and knew she could build her own version of the Restoration Hardware table that was out of her budget at 1000 bucks. Shawna used Ana White’s plans as a rough guide but was fortunate to already have the cart (that happened to have awesome casters) to use as a base. Here’s what Shawna has to say about her third big project: “This was an easy build, taking only one afternoon to finish. It’s so worth it, and I just love how it turned out. Hope you love it too and hope this inspires you to tackle your own DIY project.”

Best of PB #6: Counter Height Craft Room Table

When working on the sewing/craft room in her house, Brook from BeingBrook really wanted a counter height table. For her birthday, her husband built her a large craft table using Ana White plan, and then Brook painted it a soft aqua to coordinate with the rest of the space. Brook says, “It’s just what my craft room needed, and I spend lots of time working on my projects and helping my kids create things too!”
