Liz of Infuse with Liz was inspired to create a pretty Indian corn candle centerpiece like one she spied in Pottery Barn’s catalog. Attaching the corn to the glass bowl proved a little troublesome, but in the end Liz pulled it all together… literally… with some twine {wink}. You can leave your corn au natural like Liz did or glam it up with gold paint like PB’s version.
Susan from Homeroad created her own wall organization system from weathered driftwood and old metal calendars. One calendar became a chalkboard and the other a chicken wire clipboard. I love the rustic look Susan achieved with her repurposed materials, and the wire hooks that link them together are too cute!
Since moving into her home, Ashley from Shanty 2 Chic has been haunted by an awkward empty space above her fridge that needed something. Pottery Barn carried some wonderful vintage clock plates during the holiday season of 2009. Unfortunately for Susan from Between Naps on the Porch they sold out quickly and never came back. “So, what do you do when you’re craving Pottery Barn Clock Plates and there are none to be had?” Susan asks. I think we all know the answer to that {wink}! Susan happened upon an ironing board cover with various clock faces and used the fabric to transform a set of clear plates into her own PB replicas. Following Susan’s steps you could use any fabric that fits your fancy to give some clear plates a whole new look!
