While browsing online, Laurel of The North End Loft came across a rustic pedestal and thought, "I bet I can make that!" Right she was! Laurel created her pedestal using a chunky wood pillar holder and weathered cake pan she got from the thrift store. I love all the decorating possibilities with this little stand, and of course, the fact that it’s from repurposed materials makes me love it all the more!

All my regular readers know I love a good repurpose and some outside-the-box thinking, which likely explains my excitement over this tablet holder created by Jane of Mamie Jane’s. Jane didn’t have to cut a single piece of wood to create her stand thanks to her mad repurposing skills. She simply glued a Scrabble tile holder to the front of a thrift store cutting board and a child’s wooden triangle block to the back and called it a day! Genius!

After weeks of mason jar projects due to her finger injury, Linda from It All Started With Paint felt it was time to mix things up a bit with a vase project. Linda transformed a passel of dollar store vases into West Elm ceramic vase look-a-likes with just some inexpensive acrylic paint. I love how the brightly colored tissue paper flowers pop in the crisp white vases. The great news about having to use paper flowers with these vases is that your flowers will stay bright and beautiful forever. Well… at least until your kids get a hold of them {wink}!
