Check out how Gina of The Shabby Creek Cottage transformed this $20 Wal-mart rug into a statement-making piece for her porch. The ever resourceful Gina made the quatrefoil stencil all be herself using a cereal bowl and a piece of cardboard, traced it onto the rug with chalk, and then went over it with paint. Easy peasy and cheap to boot!

When it comes to décor, Elisha from Pneumatic Addict Furniture likes to keep things on the neutral side. However, she decided to shake things up in her living room with a chevron rug (just to make sure she wasn’t erring on the “old lady” side).
