While renovating her home, Heather of Southern Abbey has been trading out the “awful” light fixtures for new ones. Thanks to Craigslist, she has been able to save some pennies along the way by reviving secondhand finds like this chandelier she purchased for $50. Heather added some pizzazz in only thirty minutes by adorning the chandy with crystals. I love the romantic effect!

Jocie of The Better Half had been dreaming of a beautiful farmhouse table for her dining area. With a bit of begging, Jocie convinced her handy hubs Ethan to take on building the table from scratch. That is… until she came up with an ingenious idea. Instead of building from scratch, Josie and Ethan reused the legs and parts from a secondhand table and built a new solid oak tabletop. Their table is every bit as gorgeous as their Pottery Barn inspiration but way cheaper and even higher quality!

The minute Julie from Do or DIY saw Restoration Hardware's tripod floor lamp, she knew she had to have it. Well, maybe not RH’s almost $1400 lamp, but a very similar DIY version! Julie wanted it to have that antique vibe, so she took to Craigslist to find an old wooden tripod that was used for mounting telescopes. Husband Chris took over the electrical work, and the lamp was complete! It turns out that Julie and Chris’ lamp cost less than even the sales tax of the Restoration Hardware version!

After creating an eye-catching gallery wall with black and white photos, Nikki from That Was A What?! still felt the space needed a little something. Nikki settled on lamps to do the trick, which meant she would also need a console table for the lamps to sit on. Smitten with a pricey salvaged wood console from Restoration Hardware, Nikki sought out some reclaimed materials of her own. Can you tell what Nikki repurposed for her That Was A What?! rendition of RH's table?
