The idea of using gold leaf on fabric came to Brynne, and since she already had the supplies on hand, there was nothing to lose! Jackie from Teal & Lime’s mind was whirling with ways to recreate a herringbone mirror with wood and bone inlay from West Elm – tile, paint, paper??? Then her husband stepped in and suggested fabric. Genius! Jackie already had a mirror with a wide flat frame that was perfect for the project. She covered the edges with veneer and the front with chevron fabric, and voila – a gorgeous and graphic mirror!
