1. Pick your favorite house area
The first thing you want to do is a pick a place in your house where you feel comfortable.
Make sure that the area that you are picking is devoid of any loud noises – concentration is the key to success.
When you designate a space for yourself and your daily routine, you have to ensure that you actually like this place, so make sure that this room has enough light, feels comfortable to be in, and can be decorated however you wish.
Working in friends’ homes or coffee shops can be productive up to a point.
When there are larger projects you must deal with, you want to feel free to move around and write on your walls, if necessary.
You need that freedom.
2. Give your environment an original note
One of the best study areas that I’ve helped design are the original ones.
Recreating your environment is crucial in this process, since you want to make sure that this place is specially crafted for you.
If you like to hand pretty canvases on your walls, that is what you should opt for.
If, on the other hand, you like nature, create a mini Zen garden or bring plants into your space.
If you think that motivational speeches will help you stay on track, decorate your room with motivational stickers.
Make sure you give yourself whatever you need.
3. Get rid of distractions
Nobody likes to work in a distracting environment, so as I mentioned before, ensure that you can have this place to yourself.
You could hang a “Do not Disturb” sign outside your door or even get a noise-canceling device for city sounds or room sounds.
If you place this device right in front of your door on the inside, you won’t hear almost anything that is going in inside the house.
This is great if you feel like you don’t have a quiet place to work in your home and might be distracted along the way.
4. Buy a console
Many students prefer to listen to music to better focus on their work – so if you are one of them, make sure that you buy a console for your conducive space.

Designing a workspace that will keep you both energized and relaxed enough to perform well is what you should aim for.
Choose to work at a desk instead of working in your bed.
Choose to dress appropriately (casually, but appropriately) and not work in your pajamas.
Have a clear mapped out plan on your mind – what will you accomplish today and how?
7. Design a break-time space
Taking regular breaks should be something you implement.
If you are not able to relax, you won’t be able to succeed.
Ensure that you have a corner designed just for this purpose in your room (if big enough) or in your home.
Place a nice yoga mat, a meditation cushion, a mini waterfall, and some incense candles in your relaxing place.
Try meditating at least once per day to release the stress.
Yin Yoga should also be helpful for the same reason.
Implementing the above tips will help you stay on track of your schoolwork, so try them all whenever you feel like it.
