When Camilla from First Lady of the House saw Pottery Barn’s moss-covered monograms, she knew she could DIY that. Using a hot glue gun, nifty moss sheets, and a simple particle-board monogram, Camilla recreated the Pottery Barn look for way less! Her supplies totaled only $5 from the craft store, while a designer monogram would have cost her $79.
This is Camilla’s finished piece:
She hung it from an ivory white silk ribbon so it could be used as a wreath, and hung it from her china cabinet. It would look equally lovely hung from the front door as a personalized wreath, or used without the ribbon by resting on a hearth or a shelf.
Camilla was inspired by these Pottery Barn monogram letters. The Pottery Barn versions are wrapped in real moss, while Camilla’s DIY used fake moss sheets for an inexpensive alternative.
