Carrie from My Creative Escapes followed Ana White’s plans to build an activity table with rollaway carts for her kids. She forked over the extra $30 to put caster wheels on the carts. This was a smart investment because it allows her kids to pull the carts out themselves. The total cost with wood, wheels, and paint came to $108.

I love activity tables and those are gorgeous! They don’t look like toys, they’re beautiful pieces of furniture! Activity tables are great though… Not only do they get your child up and off the floor when they are little, but they learn and master fine motor skills and logical thinking skills with all of the manipulatives that can be put on top. Then, as your child grows, they continue to learn while they play mastering imaginative play, critical thinking skills, and some activity tables even teach math and science. I think activity tables should be a staple in every home.
