For those of us that live in the country, we see water troughs as a source of keeping our livestock healthy and happy with a daily supply of fresh water. When these troughs rust from years of use, it is time to get something else to replace it, and then the question becomes what do we do with the trough? Brooke from Anastasia Village has a solution that will add to your rustic or modern farmhouse decor. She took her grandfather’s old trough and converted it quite simply into a TV stand.
With some large boards, rope and wooden blocks, Brooke added a top, handles for the sides, and feet for the base. You would not want that to sit directly on the floor, it could potentially leave a rust stain. She also added a charming picture to the front to add visual interest.
This was a very clever use of an old trough and in Brooke’s case a lovely reminder of her grandfather’s farm.
