Misty from The Cedar Shake Cape loves Pottery Barn but certainly couldn’t swallow the $200-$500 price tag for a piece of type key art. Especially when Misty knew she could make her own for LESS! Misty broke out an inexpensive piece of drop cloth and acrylic paints and made her own replica of the PB artwork in a few simple steps. In a nutshell, she created a printable (which she has made available on her site!), enlarged it to poster size, and traced and painted the design onto the drop cloth. Her husband helped give it a finished look by building a pretty frame out of wood.
Misty was inspired by the Type Key Framed Prints from Pottery Barn.
