Hi, guys!!
I love summer, it’s my favorite season. If you are like me and you love summer too, today I’m sharing an easy decor DIY which will look awesome wherever you place it.
I used some table legs I had from another project that involved scrap wood, but you can also buy it if you don’t have at home. I envisioned a gradient beach related sign with words on it, so I prepared everything I was going to use.
Here’s what you need to make your own Sea Sand Sisal Sign
I always try to use what I have on hand, but this post contains affiliate links for your convenience. You can read my full disclosure policy here.
· Wood
· Chalk Paint
· Sand Paper
· Brush
· Silhouette Cameo
· Tab Divider
I started by chopping some legs into smaller pieces and sanding the borders to get a nice finish.
I also removed the protective pads and gave all the wood a coat of DIY chalk paint. You can also use any commercial chalk paint if you have some at hand.
Then I mixed some blue and green paint to get an aqua color, and added some white to make it lighter and get the gradient look.
I also designed a stencil with the words Sea, Sand and Sisal with my Silhouette Cameo. I used a tab divider because is what I had on hand and it’s cheap.
I measured and centered the word, and used a brush with white paint to stencil it. I repeated the process in all the pieces.
I had my coastal Sea, Sand and Sisal sign in about an hour, and I love how it looks!!
Those colors are perfect for summer or for a beach house.
Don’t you love them too?
In case you want to make your own, you will find the CSV file here, or if you don’t have the Cameo you can cut the words with an X-acto knife or similar using this JPG file.
Stay cool, and thank you so much for stopping by! Remember you can check other projects in the Gallery.
Hugs,
Pili
