Do you need a change in one of your rooms? You can easily do it by just adding color to your curtains. This can be an inexpensive project and cost less than designer print curtains. My sister had some cream cotton curtains in her living room that were screaming for some color. We went shopping and purchased everything we needed.

Here are the supplies you will need:
- Stencil (use your coupon)
- Textile medium
- Painter’s tape
- Paint roller
- Painter cloth or plastic
First, lay your curtain on your painter’s cloth so the paint doesn’t seep through to the floor. Tape it down so it doesn’t move. Next, put your curtain on top of it and tape it down.
Put your stencil down and tape it down. When stenciling most things, start in the middle of your project. For curtains, I don’t think it makes that much of a difference. I started in the middle at the top. To be able to paint on fabric, you need to use a medium paint mixed in. The back of the bottle will have the mixing ratio on it. It is usually half paint and half textile medium. Now you can start painting! Take your roller and go over the stencil. Before moving the stencil, you will notice small notches in the corners on the stencil. Mark those with a fabric pen or lightly with a pencil. When moving your stencil over, line the notches up with your stencil. Start painting again and finish one row at a time.
Once you have finished to entire curtain, let it dry. For the textile medium to set, you will need to set it with heat. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. That way, you can wash your curtains when needed. Now you can hang them up and enjoy! Here are the finished curtains:
