Lisa from Serendipity Chic Design finally found the perfect use for an architectural piece from an old Victorian home she purchased a few years ago at a tag sale for only $5.00. In order to make it a shelf, she cut off the top so it would be flush. She then mounted it on the wall next to her mantle and placed a potted plant on top. I am loving the interest that architectural pieces like Lisa’s add to a space. Tag sales and architectural salvage shops are great ways to find such pieces for way less than catalog prices.
Lisa’s piece is similar to the Architectural Relic from Pottery Barn.
