Air Compressor Uses: Why Every Homeowner Needs One

By

There are lots of pieces of equipment that every homeowner should have tucked away in their garage.

For example, they should have a lawnmower to prevent grass from getting too long.

They should also have a weedwhacker to wipe out anything their lawnmower can’t reach. And it never hurts to have a snowblower somewhere in the mix.

But an air compressor is one of the most underrated pieces of equipment for homeowners.

There are so many practical air compressor uses that make this tool a necessity for those trying to maintain a home in top condition!

If you don’t own an air compressor, you should consider changing that as soon as possible. You’ll find lots of different ways to put your air compressor to good use.

Here are six things you can do with an air compressor once you get it home.

1. Clean Up Driveways, Garage Floors, and Other Surfaces

Do you want to clear grass clippings off your driveway or get rid of the dust that’s all over your garage floor without having to spend half an hour sweeping?

You could fire up your leaf blower and see if that’ll do the trick. But it won’t always be powerful enough to get your driveway completely clear.

It can also be dangerous to use it inside your garage if it’s not ventilated properly.

An air compressor will get the job done in no time, though. Put on a pair of protective glasses, turn your air compressor on, and start spraying air all over your driveway or garage floor to clean everything off of it.

Within a matter of 30 seconds or so, you should have the whole thing clear. You won’t dread cleaning up anymore once you pick up an air compressor in Perth.

2. Paint Your House with a Spray Gun

If the idea of climbing up and down a ladder over and over again to paint your house makes you cringe, you should know there is a simple solution to your problem.

You can paint your house by using a spray gun that has been hooked up to an air compressor.

The air compressor will help the spray gun to work more effectively than it would otherwise by spraying paint evenly all over the outside of your home.

You’ll be able to paint your entire home with an air compressor in just a fraction of the time it would take to do the job without one. It won’t seem like such a chore anymore.

3. Complete a Home Improvement Project with a Nail Gun

If you’re going to be tackling a home improvement job that only requires you to nail four or five nails into a wall, you probably don’t need a heavy-duty nail gun.

But what if you’re going to tackle a larger home improvement job like a kitchen reno that will require dozens of nails? A nail gun might be exactly what you need.

In order for this tool to work properly, it needs to be highly pressurized.

An air compressor will supply a nail gun with more than enough pressure and make sure it’s able to shoot out dozens of nails every minute.

4. Blow Up Toys for Your Pool

Is there anything worse than trying to blow up a big tube or another toy for your kids while they’re in the pool?

You have to sit around for 15 or 20 minutes blowing the toy up while they splash around right in front of you.

Once you finally finish after turning blue in the face, they’re tired of playing in the pool and don’t even want the toy anymore! It’s enough to drive even the best parents insane.

This will no longer be a problem when you invest in an air compressor. You can take a fully deflated pool toy and blow it up before your son or daughter even hits the water. Your kids (and your lungs!) will thank you.

5. Stoke the Flames of a Fire

It can be frustrating sitting around and waiting for the charcoals on a grill to heat up when everyone is hungry. But it’s all part of the process when you’re cooking on a charcoal grill.

At least, it’s part of the process – if you don’t have an air compressor handy!

While you’ll want to be extra careful when doing this, you can use an air compressor on a low setting to heat up charcoal on a grill by stoking the flames of the fire on it.

You can start cooking on your grill in no time when you utilize this tool to heat things up.

6. Create a Winter Wonderland in Your Front Yard

Do you want to get really creative with your air compressor?

If so, there’s a way that you can use it to create snow right in your own front yard. There are artificial snowmakers that can make snow for your yard when you pair them with air compressors.

Whether you want to make snow as part of a Christmas display or make it to wow your kids, you can coat your yard in as much snow as your heart desires.

It’s something that just wouldn’t be possible if you didn’t have access to an air compressor.

There Are So Many Air Compressor Uses to Try

As you can see, there are quite a few air compressor uses that you’ll be able to try when you buy one.

But here’s the great thing: this is only the start! Once you begin using your air compressor, you’re going to find many other amazing uses for it.

An air compressor might not be the most important piece of equipment that you own. But it will be one of the most versatile. Soon, you’ll wonder what you ever did without it.

Don’t stop at simply owning an air compressor either. Read our blog to find out about more tools you need to keep around.
